Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog we are introducing a NEW RELEASE!!! This fabulous new release has several items for the holidays and a few great sets for multiple uses. Today I share the new Dirt Bike, 100 Stars strip and Awesome sentiment die!
I created a ring with the classic Circle stackers to build my star frame on. I added in the Add a Flourish from the last new release to take the stars in and out of the frame like an explosion! I double cut the Dirt Bike to add a shadow to the bike. and built up foam tape under the front wheel to give the bike the illusion that it's leaping through the ring. The ring of stars was placed on a scalloped circle background which was placed on a piece of orange card stock that was embossed with the Gears Emboss plate!
This makes a great card for the extreme sports enthusiasts in your life! I will be making a particular dirt bike racer a birthday card similar to this!

I hope you enjoyed my card! Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the NEW RELEASE!!!

Remember there is still time to join the new challenge!!! Challenge #141 is Beautiful Borders There is a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs. Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Monday everyone! I am honored to be a part of the May Arts Halloween Challenge! I created a hanging Halloween Door Decor! If you enjoy what you see, please go over to the May Arts Blog and show my project some love there too!
The base of each panel is 6×6" and has a bubbly paint texture. I then layered Burlap paper, and distressed parchment with May Arts Ribbons and die cuts to create a spooktacular effect! May Arts Ribbons for this project were used in the following ways :

BX28 Sheer Spider Web Ribbon is used for bows.
SK10 1¼" Black Silk Ribbon is fashioned into soft ruffles for a decorative edge and provides the hanging loop and tails for the panels to attach.
SM08 Black Burlap String is used to create the broom for the last panel

During the month of October I am participating in a month-long blog hop with some amazing artists. Everyday you will find a new Halloween project on all of the blogs listed below. Each project must have stamping on it, be it digi or ink. There are prizes to win, be sure to check out all the rules HERE and information on the daily scavenger hunt is posted there! You must go HERE to find the item/s you are looking for the scavenger hunt.
Today I have created this tag with lots of yummy bits from my "left overs bin". I have an old dictionary that I rip random pages from--I found one that had the definition of cat on it--perfect for my scardy cat stamp! I added it to a piece of gauze paper and some left over journal pages from another project. I have a box of leftover Cheery Lynn Designs dies...since I have been working with fall and Halloween and steampunk lately I had some left over flowers and doilies that would work well. I added some Robin's Nest Dew Drops in a marquis shape and some fun pompom trim for the bottom...line work and charcoal finish out the details.
Tip!! To age your dictionary paper without getting that dull burned look--apply a thin layer of white glue to surface first and then Zap with heat tool...the glue will turn a nice caramel brown !
Thank you for hopping by! Please go on to check out the rest of the stops!

Weekly Challenge | Use Your Scraps
2/15/2012 09:39:00 PM
Die Cuts with a View, digital stamps, digitaldelightsbyloubyloo, ribbon, Sakura Hobby Craft 3D Crystal Lacquer

Welcome to another Delightful Challenges weekly challenge...this week we're creating projects use up our scaps! All stamps are available at Digital Delights by Louby Loo! I hope you enjoy my card.
By nature I struggle with scraps...I am an upcycler and appreciate the reusing of items [for example I have a few boards on pinterest that I follow that are about nothing but upcycling toilet paper rolls]. However, when it comes to scraps, I'm torn (pardon the pun). On the one hand I can save them for use with my punch art...and I L O V E all things punch art. BUT I already have such a huge supply of paper hanging on to one scrap...that is less than 4×4" is hardly in my nature--unless it's a piece of paper that I'm so in love with that I don't want to cut it, let alone get rid of any scrap of it! ha! Yes, it's one extreme or the other, I know.
The paper in this paper pack falls into the category of the latter. This is my 2nd purchase of this pad of paper. I simply love it. These particular pieces don't reflect it's true beauty as it is from a pad that has embedded glitter--Pocket Full of Posies by Die Cuts with a View!!! The piece of acrylic is also a scrap. I had die cut ATCs [for a previous post] out of 4×4" squares of acrylic. The left over piece resembled a frame. I decided that the frame would be fun to attach the bow--a scrap piece of ribbon-- and the printed ticket--printed on a scrap piece of DCWV paper. I hope you enjoy my card!
For this card:
Digital Stamps: Claudia Cow
Card Stock: Scraps of Die Cuts with a View and Bazzill

If you are looking for Festive Friday Blog hop, look here.
Good Morning and welcome to Gill's Fairy Day Blog hop Day 1. This is a 2 day hop for 24th and 25th of June where the line up on both days is different--I am participating on both days so come back for more tomorrow!
If you arrived here from Anita's blog then you are in the right spot! If you joined in randomly, you may start at the top of the hop here!
The theme of this hop is FAIRY Day so what we are doing on this hop is bringing together a select few people from all over the world to take part and for them to create a project with a fairy or fairies on it.
This is a differnt kind of hop as along the hop there are letters to find in the postings - not all blogs have the letters but if you gather all the letters then at the end of the hop on day 2 assemble them to create a fairy related word. If you then return to my blog and enter the Mr Linky at the bottom of the post (do not reveal the secret word yet). After the hop i will contact someone at random and ask them to email me with the word - if correct they win some lovely candy from Gill.
For my first project I did a punch-art fairy! I LOVE fairies and I love love love doing punch art!!
I love doing paper piecings with punchies!
For this card I used Bazzill Basics and DCWV Pocket Full of Posies Stack, ribbon, and EK Success [hearts, circles, word window] and Marvy [scalloped circle] Punches, and chalk and Millenium Pens.
I hope you enjoy my fairy card! I really appreciate you stopping by! I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment or follow me if you enjoyed what you see!
Now back to the hop -Gill has hidden a number of letters throughtout the hop over both days. I personally do not have a letter on my stop but there are some hidden nearby! Remember to collect all the letters from the hop (they will appear over the 2 days) and assemble to form a fairy related word then return to Gill's blog at the end of the 2 day hop and enter the Mr linky (not revealing the word) for your chance to win candy.
The next stop on the hop is : Jackie! Hop on over to see her wonderful creations!
Here is a sneak peek of what is to come tomorrow!! Can't wait to share these ideas!

This weekend is my daughter's 5th birthday party and she decided she needed a Crafty Party. There will be lots of crafts for her friends to do. Her daddy is making her a special crafting table and some of her favorite crafts have been collected for her birthday celebration! She had creative control of how her birthday card came together and she was quite pleased with the final result. I will be adding a scribd document here next week with complete instructions on making the cuts and folds on this card and possibly a video that will show how it can be modified for other shapes.
The card features Bazzill Basics and DieCuts With a View Cardstock and Miss Elizabeth pattern Paper. The paper doll is a Sizzix die as are the accessories [clothes, shoes, hair] The heart punch is Stampin up and the Swiss Dots texture is from a Provocraft emboss folder. The font for the card is called US and is free on DaFont.com. At her request, I wrote in hand "i love crafts" all the way around the cover of the card. The face was hand-drawn using the same Micron Pen and accented with brown marker and pink ink on an eraser for cheeks!
Thank you for looking! I hope you enjoy! Check back for links to video tutorial and scribd download!
