NEW RELEASE!!! Cheery Lynn Dies

Cheery Lynn Designs releases new dies quarterly and today is a very exciting new release!!! I have been tasked with not sharing these before their time and it has been VERY DIFFICULT because these are all amazing!!! The Baby's Breath Flower kit is perfect for those little fillers, the Tiny Fanciful Flourish is so delicate and great accent for smaller flowers and cards and tags, the Horizon Circle Boutique Stacker Frames are GREAT and work really well with the Classic Silver Stackers (L-4) dies.

I love the textures of the new SOJI Mesh Border and it's the perfect substrate to build a flower strip on! I am focused on Halloween as you all know and I had to take this opportunity to make a Halloween card and use these fabulous new dies with my favorite flowers and oranges and greens! I hope you enjoy my card! Be sure to check out the rest of the new release from my co-teammates over at the Cheery Lynn Blog!

Hot Time in the Summer Challenge at Cheery Lynn Blog

Happy Sunday everyone! I've had a crazy busy summer and am just now getting around to some fun tools that I've recently added to my collection that I found at the Scrapbook Convention this June. For months I've been watching several of my scrappy friends using these incredible super-thin dies from a company called Cheery Lynn Designs. I knew the convention would probably have them and I was THRILLED to find them!! The selection of dies is amazing, the price point perfect and the detail and design is awesome!
I am a big fan of flowers as you already know and Cheery Lynn has a how line of "Build a Flower" dies that make creating your own flowers super easy.  I used the Sunflower die and the Embellishments 3 die to create all the flower on my card below. I die cut all the flowers out as above in a cream and dark tan color of card stock. I then colored with markers and misted with sprays to achieve the colors on the flowers. I used my McGill stylus set to create dimension on the petals. Little Amanda, "The Thinker" seems to be getting some shade from the sunflower in the pot for the "Hot Time in the Summer" and Sunflowers definitely say "Hot Time" to us here in Texas!
I hope you enjoy my card!  Below is a link and rules in case you want to play along!

Festive Friday #17 | New Toys

Happy Friday everyone!! It's time for the Festive Friday Blog Hop hosted by Terri Sproul again. This bi-monthly blog hop features Holiday cards from many talented card crafters as we get our Christmas cards ready early this year.
If you reached this stop from Becky's blog BC Designs , then you are in the right spot! If you would like to start from the beginning, you can return to Terri's blog

I titled this week's challenge New Toys as on my card I used two of my new toys to complete the project. If you follow my blog you know I recently added to my Design Team accomplishments; I've become a Design Team Member for both the Sakura Hobby Crafts Blog and the Crafty Ribbons Challenge Blog! I'm very excited and honored to be on all 4 design teams. My other two design teams are digital design teams and so my treasure from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and from AJs Digi Shoppe come to my email! When I receive the new releases, my family can attest, I squeal out loud as I'm always so excited to start using the new images and papers.
Well...waiting on snail mail to get your new toys is agony BUT...what fun toys I got this last week!!! Ali and Tony at Crafty Ribbons in the UK sent me a wonderful parcel full of yummy holiday ribbons of all varieties...for this card I chose this cool Twill Merry Christmas printed ribbon...it is the PERFECT size to fit across the card! I have TONS of ribbons to play with and this was my very first small project with my 1st new toy!! We are pampered with this design team! I love all the ribbons and can't wait to share many more projects with them!!!

Later that same week I received a smallish box from California--from Sakura Hobby Crafts! Inside was a huge bottle of the 3D Crystal Lacquer that you already know I love and that brings the shine to the eyes of my digital and traditional stamped cards! I also used the 3D Crystal lacquer as an adhesive for my prisma glitter for the glistening snow. Also inside was a surprise that I will reveal next week AND some 3D Crystal Color Lacquer which was perfect for coloring the bows on my House Mouse Stamp! I love it because it is completely transparent and just colored! I love this product and how easy it is to use the little tubes that it comes it! They are perfect for pinpoint application and the tube, while it seems not much bigger than say a BIC Mark-it, it has an ENORMOUS amount of product in it that will no doubt last me quite a while! Super fun! The folks at Sakura and our DT Leader Terri certainly spoil us too!

Thank you to all the folks responsible for all of my Design Teams, it is an honor and a pleasure working for each of you and with my teammates!! I couldn't be more thrilled!! I love what I get to do for you and I hope it shows.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you enjoyed my card! Now back to our regularly scheduled hop! The next stop on the hop is Laura Fisher's blog. If you get lost on the way, the entire list is below!

Challenge #95 | May Flowers

House Mouse Challenge #95 | May Flowers

I stamped Bed of Flowers featuring Mudpie and Monica with Stazon in Black and colored with my Staedtler Watercolor pencils and blended with my Stampin Up Blending pens. I added Ranger Distress Ink Walnut stain to the colored piece and matted it with green Bazzill Basics card stock. I embossed yellow Bazzill Basics with a Tim Holtz Sizzix Texture Fades and again added Walnut Stain to the edge.
The front cover is cut short and the colored piece is attached so that it hangs over the edge. The textured piece is added to the "inside" of the card and is seen peaking out from the edges of the colored piece.
I added some beaded ribbon to the side to bring out the lighter green of the leaves and to add a little sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card!

It's my Birthday Blog Hop 12-15 March 2011 | Card #1

Welcome to Jennifer Restivo's It's My Birthday Blog Hop! This celebration of Jennifer's birth runs from Saturday March 12-15th! There are 40 crafters with lots of cards to look at! Some will be showing more than one project during the hop, including me, so be sure to check back for new inspiration!
If you came to this hop from Laura's blog then you're in the right spot! If you wish to start from the beginning hop over to here.

My 1st card for this birthday celebration uses a cute House Mouse stamp and wonderful Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza  Paper Stack and Bazzill Basics Cardstock.  I colored the stamped image with prismacolors and used the blending pencil to blend the colors. I used the Quickie Pen Glue to add ultrafine glitter touches to the flowers. A Stampin' Up Birthday sentiment and EK Success Circle Punch created the Happy Birthday wish. Basic Grey Bling matched the colors of the paper and of the Stampin Up Soft Suede ink that I used when distressing the edges of the stamped image.
I hope you enjoy! Thank you for looking!
Be sure to check below if you get lost on the hop. Lucy's blog is next on the list! Hop on over there to see her wonderful birthday creations!

Operation Write Home's Bunny Hop Blog Hop

Welcome to the Operation Write Home's Bunny Hop Blog Hop! I am so honored to be part of this organization's wonderful hop! There are 135 stops in hop--if you came here from Kelly's You and your Big Dreams, you are in the right place. If you would like to start from the beginning, go here.

Operation Write Home is an amazing organization and helps connect soldiers with home in many ways. One of my favorite ways to connect is by using the printables for young people to color and to write letters and notes to the soldiers abroad. Here you can download and print off writing color pages that children [or adults] can write letters of appreciation to their soldier heroes. I use these mainly with the cubscouts in our Pack. The boys love coloring the images and writing letters to their heroes.

House Mouse Happy Birthday

Birthday card
House Mouse is probably one of my favorite stamp companies and I love this stamp with the daisies. This was a Birthday Card that I created for my boss Dedra for her 50th birthday. She loves flowers and this stamp just looked like her.
The card stock is Die Cuts With a View Birthday MatStack and Bazzill Basics and Bazzill Bling. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and used Gamsol to blend in the colors. I used a Stampin' Up punch to create the border edge and a TimHoltz Texture Fades folder to create the embossed mat. The brads are Queen & Co.
Thank you for looking!
