Welcome to Day 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I'm sharing this quick "Poe" ATC with my raven and the sentiment "nevermore." The pattern paper has a bit of distressing and misting through some Tiny Circles Mesh which is also echoed as the actual mesh under the sentiment. The edges are distressed with a pattern marker, some brown chalk, some brown distress ink and some pen scribbles :) The whole front is then mounted on a piece of Black ATC card stock and the Raven receives a bit of black bling for his eye!

I hope you enjoyed my card! Please come back tomorrow!!

31 Days of Halloween | Day 20

During the month of October I am participating in a month-long blog hop with some amazing artists. Everyday you will find a new Halloween project on all of the blogs listed below. Each project must have stamping on it, be it digi or ink. There are prizes to win, be sure to check out all the rules HERE and information on the daily scavenger hunt is posted there! Welcome to Day 20 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I've created this little square card with a mummy with stamped "cloth". I stamped on a piece of white card stock with the Halloween ad page from the "seasonal catalog" from Stampers Anonymous. I embossed it with White Detail EP. Next I cut the ad into ½" strips, distressed the edges and inked the strips. I then misted the strips with white dylusions, blotting up the excess, and then with Pearl Mist again blotting up the excess.
Once dry I created my mummy focal piece and trimmed him up to size with my trimmer. I mounted him on some black card stock and the layered base. A bit of burlap string and some black bling finish off the card! I hope you enjoyed my card! Please come back tomorrow!!

31 Days of Halloween | Day 19 (a puzzle tutorial)

During the month of October I am participating in a month-long blog hop with some amazing artists. Everyday you will find a new Halloween project on all of the blogs listed below. Each project must have stamping on it, be it digi or ink. There are prizes to win, be sure to check out all the rules HERE and information on the daily scavenger hunt is posted there! Ms. Vampire

Welcome to Day 19 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! I was away from my computer all day yesterday and when I read my comments about the missing "puzzle" piece from yesterday I knew I needed to post-pone today's scheduled post for a puzzle tutorial!! YAY!!! In my post yesterday I referred to the popsicle sticks as a puzzle piece inadvertently because I use them as puzzles for kids party favors often...Below is the process of how to make your own puzzle using digital images! You could easily use stamps as I did yesterday or even paint and doodle puzzles.

Begin using images that are wide enough for your sticks...
if you desire a double-sided puzzle for more of a challenge
use 2 images.
Glue the sticks to the paper

once dry you will cut apart the sticks. It is much simpler to do
one side and then repeat on the other...you will not be cutting
blindly. I actually cut from the side with the sticks to see
where I'm cutting.

sticks cut apart
Sand the sticks.
All sanded! :)
Glue to the 2nd image and repeat, cut, sand.

Now I like to edge the sticks with a dark marker--here I used charcoal.

This is the puzzle completely edged. You could
stop here...But I love the look of them inked too.

The completed puzzle pieces all random! Ready to put the puzzle together

Mr. Vampire!

Welcome to Day 18 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I'm sharing this simple card. I stamped on PAPER my image and then glued mini Popsicle sticks to the back. I separated the sticks and sanded and inked around them. I then reassembled then on a piece of black cardstock. I added the puzzle piece and the ribbon to the front of my orange card  base! Voila! Easy Peasy! I hope you enjoy my project! Please come back tomorrow for more!
