Operation Write Home's Blog Hop | World Card Making Day

Happy World Card Making Day!! I am honored to be part of the Operation Write Home's World Card Making Day Blog Hop! Today I chose Sketch #141 since I have some fabulous new circle dies from Cheery Lynn Designs to play with!!! It made creating this card SUPER easy!! I chose papers from the SEI collection Field Notes and my favorite Spectrum Noir Markers [EB3, EN5. DG2, DG3, DG4. GB3, GB5, CR9. IG1] to color this beautiful Stampendous Sunflower Stamp.

Because of the several family members and friends that I have in the service, providing cards for soldiers to send back to their families is just one way I honor them! Thank you for stopping by!

Operation Write Home's Memorial Day BlogHop

MemDay2013BlogBanner

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! For the 3rd year in a row I am celebrating by participating in the Operation Write Home's Memorial Day BlogHop! Having Grand Fathers, uncles and in-laws that were among the brave that have fought to keep our home FREE it gives me great honor to give back with cards for our soldiers! Today I am using one of my favorite Digital Delights Stamps USA Myrtle to create a card for a soldier to tell him how much I appreciate his service to this country! Delivering letters to solidiers who do not recieve much mail from home is merely one service that Operation Write Home provides, but for me I think it is the most important. It tells someone completely unknown to me that I appreciate them very much. In a small way I hope it brightens their day.

OWH Blog Hop | World Card Making Day

Welcome to World Card Making Day!!! Operation Write Home is celebrating with one of their super Blog Hops and I am honored to be a part of it!! OWH sends blank cards to US servicemen and women that they can use to send back to their loved ones. This is important to me as I have friends and family members who serve in the military. Having a service like this has directly impacted them and I know they do appreciate our time making these cards.

Today I am creating  two super quick and easy cards using Crafty Ribbons Ribbons. For information on how to win a BUNCH of beautiful ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, click here.

Celebrate Card Making for Soldiers WORLD WIDE

Saturday from 2 p.m.-5:00 p.m. CST myself and several talented friends from around the world will be demonstrating cards of all kinds for our service men and women to send back to their families.
This event originated as a celebration of Operation Write Home's 4th Birthday and turned into something much more...We learned that this opportunity--to give to our active service men and women beautiful cards that they can in turn send to their loved ones--is not exclusive to the USA but rather there are many organizations around the world doing similar deeds. We wish to celebrate them all and raise awareness of this easy way for paper crafters to give back. Join us in the Papermood Linqto Room to get crafty and learn about a worthwhile philanthropy. See you there!

Memorial Day Cards

This weekend I had the awesome pleasure of participating in the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop--in preparation for that I hop I prepared SEVERAL cards but because I wanted to follow the rules of the hop, I only posted the one card. The hop had over 140 stops and was MASSIVE but awesome to see all of the talent in one spot.
So, on to the cards! The first is a new favorite designer of mine--her name is Amanda and she has a new shop at AJs Digi Shoppe! Her images are unique and cute and I can't wait to see what else she brings to the digi shoppe! This card is using one of her sweet ducks! I hope you enjoy my card!

The second card is using another of my favorite designers for digis--this is from Wendy's [aka Louby Loo] collection!! This is Private Peter--he's probably one of my favorites in her collection of digis at Digital Delights by Louby Lou! I have recently been named a Senior Designer for Delightful Challenges--the challenge Design Team at Digital Delights! I'm having so much fun with Wendy's digis too! I hope you enjoy my card!

I hope everyone had a peaceful Memorial Day! Thank you for stopping by!

Operation Write Home's Memorial Day Blog Hop

Welcome to Operation Write Home's Memorial Day Blog Hop!! This wonderful 3 day blog hop contains more than 145 fabulous bloggers! I am honored to be among them. I created several cards for this hop but since they've asked us to only post one to help make this go smoother and quicker for our wonderful hoppers, I picked my favorite! I will post the other two cards next week!

This card is one of my favorite House Mouse images. I colored the image with BIC Mark-Its for the flag and watercolor crayons for the mousies. I highlighted the stars on the flag and the background with a gelly roll sparkle pen. The offray bow is enhanced with a crystal bling and a Jenni Bowlin stickpin. The cardstock is Bazzill Basics and the pattern paper is Tim Holtz. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Thank you for looking! A Happy Memorial Day to you and yours!
