Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a fun Halloween card with some of my favorite festive dies. I chose dies that would echo the circles in the image. The dots in the Horizon Square Boutique Frame, the Tiny Bubbles Border and the Dots in the Embossing plate all bring focus back to the little frog and his spots! The bats and Spider Web Mesh Border were both cut from Glitter card stock for that added glitz. A bit of pen stitching on the focus square and some 3 dimensional bats finish off the card.
Happy Monday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo blog I share a quick and easy happy card using the Piccolo accents! I used the beautiful Pop Up Flower Accents and coated two with adhesive fluid and the Girls Night Out EP. I built up a few layers on those two and finished off with a small touch of Vintage Gold EP in the center. For the middle flower, I built up layers of Cranberry Wine EP and then added a bit of Girls night out to the insides of the flowers and some Vintage Gold to finish it off. To finish off the flowers I edged the with a dark marker. I adhered each onto my card mats with white glue and set aside to dry!
Good Morning everyone!! I am honored to be among a fantastic lineup of creators to preview a brand new book by Lisa Fulmer~Craft Your Stash! When I learned Lisa was publishing a book about Crafting Your Stash I knew it would be amazing and embody her own special gifts for imparting crafty wisdom to her audience. I was not disappointed!
Lisa's book is both informative and beautiful! I love the layouts of the pages and her explanations of tools, storage tips, and techniques are easy to understand and helpful for not only the novice but also the experienced crafter. For those of us who have taken crafting to a whole new shopping and collecting level, this book is perfect. Tips on creating storage for your hoard so that it is both attractive and VISIBLE is welcome. I know seeing what I have enables me to use what I have.
I also love that Lisa's book covers tips not only for the paper crafter, but also the all-over crafter who would have a stash of fabric and all that goes with that as well! Her projects cover everything from beads and fabric to paint leftovers, old CDs and beautiful paper creations. There's something for everyone in this book! You are sure to come away inspired.
It's time for a new challenge with Digital Delights by Louby Loo! This week at Delightful Challenges our challenge is Cute & Cuddly! You all know how much I love Little Bird. I've paired her with the Hanging Birdhouse image and made her dimensional by adding foam tape to the back of a second image and layering it on top. I added some bling and a bow to accent the images. LOVE this easy peasy card! ~I hope you enjoy my card! Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday everyone! On the Cheery Lynn Blog today I share a Autumnal Equinox greeting. Fall is my favorite time of the year...crisp mornings, colorfuln leaves, pumpkins!!! Naturally I wanted to share this fall greeting! I distressed some kraft core card stock and crumpled up the papers. I diecut my leaves and brought out veins with chalks. I layered my sentiment on leaves and a doily and a distressed background. I created a focal flower with the sunflower die and used the fringe strip of the black-eyed susan for the center. Some burlap string and a molded bee embellishment completed the card
Fall greetings everyone!! leslierahye here with my Very Fall Steampunk Blog Hop! I am joined by several of my creative friends to celebrate the turning of the calendar seasons to Autumn, Steampunk-style! This is my favorite time of year and I love to pair it up with my favorite style! It's a smallish hop with talented designers, take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the projects! You won't be disappointed!
For my project I created a fall tag with bits of molded emboss powder steampunk gears and fantastic fall leaves created from crinkled core'dinations cardstock and die cut with Cheery Lynn Dies. These were layered on the tag and dusted with Pan Pastel. A final molded embellishnment of a clockworks reminds us of the passing of time into the Fall!
I hope you enjoyed my tag! Be sure to hop by each stop and leave some love! We all appreciate comments!
Happy Monday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo blog I share a wintery pin. I used the labels and frames from the new release Fancy Labels & Roses Accents and embossed the label with Royal Sterling and the Frame of the Rose Accent with Bahama Aqua. I layered these together to form the base of my pin.
Next I embossed snowflakes in Siam Silver, Bahama Aqua and Royal Sterling and layered then onto the pin base. I added some bling on the frame and in a few of the snowflakes to complete the front of the pin. A pin back was added to the back so that it could be worn on a jacket, hat, scarf or sweater!
It's time for a new challenge with Digital Delights by Louby Loo! This week at Delightful Challenges our challenge is Fall Down--use fall colors! I LOVE fall, autumn is just around the corner and decorating with orange and green and purple is my favorite. LOVE LOVE LOVE those colors. For my card today I am using Scarecrow Willie and I have him decked out in my favorite fall colors! He's almost too cute to scare! ~I hope you enjoy my card! Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Designs blog I share a winter card using the Birch Tree and the Fancy Deer. I began by making an embossed snowflake background with a piece of vellum. I layered snowflakes and fancy deer with torn pieces of "snow". I created depth by using foam tape. I added "shimmer" to the snow background with pan pastel. A bit of "snow" in the front and on the branches collected as glitter. My focal panel was mounted onto a matte with a bit of Snowflake Mesh Border. A bunny from the Birch Tree set and a wee Hello finish off the card.
Happy Monday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo blog I create a dimensional trick or treat card using the Trick or Treat Ornament! The ornament comes with two globes and two rings for holding the globes on. For the card I used just one ring and one globe. I am holding back the 2nd ring and globe for another dimensional card or project.
I clipped off the top of the ornament where the hanger would go and heat embossed the center ring that contains the characters with Vintage Black. The silver in the vintage black collected on the ghost and the black and gold on the witch and the moon--it did perfect! For the top ring that holds down the globe I covered it with spider paper, edged the ring with black india ink and heat embossed UTEE on top to give a more aged look to the ring. I sandwiched the rings and the globe and held them together with clothespins until adhered. I applied a piece of patterned paper to the back of the ornament frame.
To finish off the front of the card, I embossed Vintage Silver to the edges of the matte and layered the globe over the accent strip so that the words Trick or Treat could be read.
Hi everyone! Today I'm participating with the Smeared & Smudged members in a monthly blog hop. This month's theme is Make a Wish! I love Smeared Ink's Goth Fairies and Seriba is probably my fave! I chose her to use on my Make a Wish Birthday Tag! She is colored with Prismacolors, a hint of Perfect Pearl mist and some frantage-style heat emboss sprinkles with Piccolo Emboss Enamels. The paper is Authentique Seasons Essentials! I hope you enjoy my tag! Be sure to check out the other Smeared and Smudged members projects along the hop!
It's time for a new challenge with Digital Delights by Louby Loo! This week at Delightful Challenges our challenge is Simple Times! The idea is a clean and simply style card. Nothing could be simpler than starting with a beautifully pre-colored stamp and pairing it with coordinating digital paper packs! I love Digital Delights digi paper!!! They are so lush and perfect for my card making. Simple rectangle cuts layered on a card front with a simple black card base make a super easy clean and simple card! ~I hope you enjoy my card! Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a Spooky Fall Tag using the Birch Tree with little animals--it has a fantastic owl. My tag is layered with a decorative paper, an orange matte that reveals a piece of lace, and a piece of embossed stone-colored paper. I distressed the edges of the layers and chalked with pan pastel. Silver metallic pan pastel over the black iron fence and earthy brown pan pastel over the birch tree enhance the card. Small bats flutter through the trees complete the look.
Happy Monday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo Blog I share a few new releases from last month that I just love! I created a back for the Circle frame on corrugated card board. I heat embossed the backing with Mermaid Tears. Next I embossed the Circle Frame with Gilded Rose Gold. I glued the frame to the backing and added a single crystal rhinestone to each loop. Next I embossed some flower tops with the gilded rose and some with the Girls Night Out and layered them to create dimensional flowers. I bent up the petals just a bit to give a little more dimension. I finished off the flowers with a rhinestone as the centers. These were arranged as on the center of the frame.
Finally I embossed the centers of the dragonflies with the Shamrock Dreams and then embossed over the wings again with Mermaid Tears. I love the opalescent effect it gives the wings when these two powders mix! The dragonflies were place on the flowers and frame to complete the look. This embossed medallion makes a great ornamentation for a shelf of a small wall.
