Happy Thursday and welcome to day five of the Viva Las Vegastamps! week long celebration of Halloween. Viva Las Vegastamps has tons of Halloween related stamps including some amazing new plates of stamps--which I'm working with here. During this week there will be fun games to play, some voting to do and some prizes to be won. Hop on over to the Viva Las Vegastamps Blog to learn about all the details. There is a link up below to keep you on track of all the great designers in the hop! Be sure to check daily!
Today I created a "scene" type altered book page for you! With these types of stamps it's very easy to create a journal page or altered book type of layout. I started with dye inks for the base and began layering on stamps stamped in browns and blacks for added depth. Some spots of color became the "color" for the image. Repetitive stamping created the illusion of fall trees, a long iron fence and the flight of a cave full of bats! I love how the various images can work together to create the scene I hope you enjoy my project!
For this project:
assorted dye inks
black ink [Paris Trunk Ink]
Book for altering & spare book paper
