Welcome to the last stop on the
All Things Altered Blog Hop with the Sakura Hobby Crafts design team. If you happened here by coincidence, find the links to the other stops at the end of this post. If you came here from
Amanda's blog then you are in the right spot!
For my project I worked on the cover of my newest altered adventure. Recently I began an altered book to use mixed media to work through my feelings about stuff going on around me--a if I were in charge of the world I'd do it THIS way kind of thing!
Having a space to art and journal about the injustices, the drama and the trauma helps me to not get bogged down and lose site of what's important in my life--my family.
The Process--
This is layered over the actual cover of the book with book paper, antique atlas pages, Sakura, Terri Sproul Mixers, more paper and more paper☺and some fun chipboard letters that were altered with book paper and more mixers! I love how the cover turned out so far.*

close up of the the layers...you can see the text
of the paper showing through the mixers. |
|
powdered mixers were dry-brushed over
various areas of the book--this looks like
a face ! ♥ |
|
I printed
"The World according to..." with my ink jet printer onto the book paer
using Miracle Tape available at Viva las Vegastamps!
Viva Las Vegastamps also carries the entire
collection of Terri Sproul Mixers & Sakura Crystal Lacquer |
*There will be more lumpiness added to the cover and fibers and such to the spine when I finish altering all the pages...but since I'm still working on the pages in the book I wanted to keep the embellishing low-profile for now.
Continue on...
