If you're looking for my Delightful Challenges post, it is here.

Welcome to Day 23 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I have a bit of news...since I so publicly shared my fears over the biopsy last week, I am pleased t share the news artfully and publicly as well.I got the call from the doctor's assistant today that my results came back and my nodule is benign--or BEE-nign! :)  Yes, I'm pleased beyond words...and relieved...and EXHAUSTED. Worrying is tiresome. So I go back in 6 months to monitor the lumpy lump and see how it goes. Thank you all for your concerns. I appreciate each and everyone of you!
SO...today I use my favorite BEE Afraid digital image pre-colored from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and create another fat book tile announcing my results. To create this tile I printed my bee with sentiment onto transparency with my way-cool color laser printer--have I told you how much I LOVE this printer?!?!? For the "dark night" I used some of the resist Kraft from Tim Holtz's collection and misted black Dylusians and Pewter Perfect Pearls Mist. I dried it completely and then sprayed white to "shadow" my clear image using a mask I had cut from a cardstock image of the same size. When I was happy with the whiteness of my "shadow" I dried the tile again and affixed my clear overlay  to the tile with brads!

I hope you enjoyed my fat book tile! Please come back tomorrow!!

Pop Up Box!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share this fun Pop Up box with the match box dies! To create these you need the matchbox, a spring (I borrowed mine from a dried up click pen), something to "spring up", and some embellishments.

You create your matchbox and embellish with some dies or a bow and a bead pull for the drawer.

You will need to "adhere" your spring into your drawer and to your popup image. I embedded my spring into some molten emboss enamel. This worked to hold it in place. A thick bodied glue like E6000 would also work. Once the spring is in place, add the image to the spring.

To create your popup surprise, fold the spring down and position your popup in place. For added festivity, you can place glitter or confetti inside to pop out when the box is opened.

I hope you enjoyed my project! It's a fun favor for Halloween parties!

Easy Peasy! I hope you enjoy my project! Please come back tomorrow for more!

Welcome to Day 17 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! I first want to thank you all for the outpouring of well wishes and kindness that you all offered. You're intentions were felt and appreciated! Thank you. My appointment went well and except for some soreness I came through fine on the other side. We will know more next week as to the results of the tests.

...AND now on to my tag! The sentiment with the moon and cemetery scene were created using 3 stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps. It was layered on a piece of burlap, a piece of embossed purple core card stock and a piece of orange Bazzill. All pieces were distressed and inked with my favorite Frayed Burlap! A bit of white chalk pencil doodling and pen stitching and a simple bow completed the tag! I hope you enjoy my project! Please come back tomorrow for more!

Mad About You!

if you are looking for my 31 Days of Halloween post it is here!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share another fun Halloween card today playing along with the black and orange challenge. I've cut a number of square mats in orange and black to mount the focal image of the mad scientist. I cut out large circles from the Lattice Circle Background and smaller circles from the Tiny Bubbles Borders in orange and black to create bubbles for the scientist's experiments.

You are missing days 11-13 for me...they are being restored daily...we had a mishap with the storms while I was out of town for the weekend...check back soon.

Welcome to Day 14 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I'm sharing a small tile that I created with a piece of artist board and emboss enamels. I layered on enamels until I had a think molten tile and then I stamped the spiderweb rubber stamp into my molten EP. Once it cooled, I traced over the imprinted web with first white paint pen and then glitter pen to add some extra sparkle--thus making it virtually impossible to photograph directly! I finished the piece with black paint pen around the edges. I hope you enjoy my project! Please come back tomorrow for more!

Happy Halloween

if you are looking for my 31 days of Halloween post, it is delayed due to medical emergency--it will be up later today.

Happy Tuesday everyone! On the Cheery Lynn Blog today I share a fun Halloween card. I die cut the Lacey Pumpkin Corner in orange. I kept the orange pieces of the pumpkin to fill in the lace after I colored the lacey die cut with brown. When I layered the lacey corner onto the distressed matte, I glued in the orange pieces and colored in the leaf pieces with green watercolor.
I layered two of the sentiment tags and added the small Happy Halloween sentiment to the front. I completed the card with some penwork and white chalk.

Welcome to Day 6 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! I love this cute little image and decorative paper. I stamped this Viva Las VegaStamps dancing skeleton's image with Archival Ink and distressed the edge of the paper and rubbed yummy distress ink over the top. I added a bit of raffia to the base mat and layered on the papers and cardstock to finish the card.
