Zooming by with a Hi!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share three of the new release dies. The first is the On the Road motorcycle die...this is just beautiful. The scrollwork in the detail is elegant and is perfect for a manly card but could also be used for a lady biker! I also use one of my favorite new dies...the SAY WHAT? set. The thought bubbles in this set are so versatile! Not only could you use them for their intent, but they make great "clouds of smoke" or clouds for scenes, running animals, bikes that go zooming by! LOVE!

And then finally I used my most favorite doily!!! The Florence Filigree can be used several different ways. Today I cut the doily twice without the center die--once in red and once in orange. I used the orange base and I punched out the "negative space" of the red doily and placed it into the holes of the orange doily. These little swirly twigs would make a great wreath or background "twigs" for floral bunches. I like the way the red and orange kinda of resemble flames. In cutting without the center, I created a solid space for my motorcycle.

A Quickie for the Road

Happy Monday everyone! I am sharing my last Globecraft and Piccolo post. Yes, you read it correctly, this is my last post here. I LOVE Globecraft and Piccolo products and will continue to "melt" things for years to come! I have enjoyed sharing projects with you and I hope you have enjoyed my inspiration.  With that I leave you a quick project for the winter months--a snowman pendant!

On a chipboard bezel I applied Enamel Powder Adhesive to aid the White Enamel Powder in sticking to the pendant. I built up layers of EP bring it to a bubble sometimes to get the texture in the enamel--to mimic snow. I then adhered the nose and black crystal bling with glastique and added a grosgrain ribbon to the back for a scarf. a simple piece of twine acts as a neck "chain."

31 Days of Halloween & a VERY Spooky Halloween Steampunk Blog Hop

I hope you've enjoyed the hop along the way! Be sure to share your love with all the hoppers! I wanted to share with you the fun card I made using Vince's colored scene . I layered the non-background colored image on the image with a background to give dimension. I glittered the moon and added some spooky scene washi tape to make it look like he was flying over a town. A bit of ribbon and some hand colored cogs with metal beads finishes off my Spooky Steampunk Card! I hope you like it! Thank you for hopping with me today!

If you're looking for my Delightful Challenges post, it is here.

Welcome to Day 23 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I have a bit of news...since I so publicly shared my fears over the biopsy last week, I am pleased t share the news artfully and publicly as well.I got the call from the doctor's assistant today that my results came back and my nodule is benign--or BEE-nign! :)  Yes, I'm pleased beyond words...and relieved...and EXHAUSTED. Worrying is tiresome. So I go back in 6 months to monitor the lumpy lump and see how it goes. Thank you all for your concerns. I appreciate each and everyone of you!
SO...today I use my favorite BEE Afraid digital image pre-colored from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and create another fat book tile announcing my results. To create this tile I printed my bee with sentiment onto transparency with my way-cool color laser printer--have I told you how much I LOVE this printer?!?!? For the "dark night" I used some of the resist Kraft from Tim Holtz's collection and misted black Dylusians and Pewter Perfect Pearls Mist. I dried it completely and then sprayed white to "shadow" my clear image using a mask I had cut from a cardstock image of the same size. When I was happy with the whiteness of my "shadow" I dried the tile again and affixed my clear overlay  to the tile with brads!

I hope you enjoyed my fat book tile! Please come back tomorrow!!

Welcome to Day 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween hop with SmearedInk.com! Today I'm sharing this quick "Poe" ATC with my raven and the sentiment "nevermore." The pattern paper has a bit of distressing and misting through some Tiny Circles Mesh which is also echoed as the actual mesh under the sentiment. The edges are distressed with a pattern marker, some brown chalk, some brown distress ink and some pen scribbles :) The whole front is then mounted on a piece of Black ATC card stock and the Raven receives a bit of black bling for his eye!

I hope you enjoyed my card! Please come back tomorrow!!

Pop Up Box!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share this fun Pop Up box with the match box dies! To create these you need the matchbox, a spring (I borrowed mine from a dried up click pen), something to "spring up", and some embellishments.

You create your matchbox and embellish with some dies or a bow and a bead pull for the drawer.

You will need to "adhere" your spring into your drawer and to your popup image. I embedded my spring into some molten emboss enamel. This worked to hold it in place. A thick bodied glue like E6000 would also work. Once the spring is in place, add the image to the spring.

To create your popup surprise, fold the spring down and position your popup in place. For added festivity, you can place glitter or confetti inside to pop out when the box is opened.

I hope you enjoyed my project! It's a fun favor for Halloween parties!
