Beautiful Butterfly Bauble

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo Blog I share with you a a beautiful butterfly necklace. This large butterfly was transformed with targeted embossing. I embossed the edges of the butterfly first with the dark starry sky emboss enamel and then in the center with the GORGEOUS Deep Blue Sky enamel. I have a new favorite. This powder looks teal and then embosses to a gorgeous dark metallic blue...when it mixes with the Stary Sky you get that nifty flecked look. so pretty.
The charms from the butterfly earring set were simply embossed with the Deep Blue sky. The bodies on the butterflies were coated with Matte Finish Glastique. The butterflies were attached to the necklace with black jumprings through the accent holes.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by today!

Friendship Fatbook Page

On the Altered Arts Magazine I share with you this Fatbook Page. A Fatbook Page is like an Altered Trading Card only it is 4×4". Like an ATC it is traded among artists--a fun little piece of art. The base of my Fatbook is a piece of book board covered with a piece of vintage advertising paper. I stamped with my texture and clock stamps around the page and embossed with a Victorian Bronze powder. Brown die ink was rubbed across the entire page using a cloth to buff the surface of the page. The edges were reinked and embossed with the same powder. A friend text stamp was stamped with Brilliance ink. The crochet trim was died with the same brown ink and adhered to to the page along with the gold trim using a white tacky glue. I hope you enjoyed my Fatbook Page and try some on your own!

Queen Bee Tag

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo Blog I share with you a steampunk tag that I created that could be added to a gift or scrapbook page or card! Piccolo powders come in a variety of "metals" which makes creating steampunk crafts super easy!

I stamped my tag with a chickenwire background stamp and embossed with MicroWhite. I then rubbed chalk ink over the cooled embossing and buffed with a dry cloth...the Micro White gives a resist appearance on the tag. Next I added a torn piece of patterned paper and added more distress inking. I heat embossed elements from the Steampunk Airship Accents set with Victorian Bronze. One of the scroll elements was placed at the top of my tag. Another of the same element was trimmed and used below the wooden bee that I also embossed with Victorian Bronze--the Enamel Powder Adhesive works great on all surfaces, including wood! Smaller bits from the Steampunk Airship Accents were layered with a rhinestone from the Bling on a Roll added to form a "crown".
Pieces from the Vintage Gears--including a negative gear--were embossed with Vintage Black, Real Rust and Vintage Copper and then layered on the tag and a strip of Bling on a Roll was added to the bottom of the card!

Friendships Journey Tag

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a Steampunk Friendship tag. This has one of my favorite quotes : "Friends are those people who know the words to the song in your heart and sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."~Anonymous. I've used the Queen Anne's Lace border along with several steampunk dies and the gear emboss plate..

I began by embossing a tag with the Gears Embossing Plate. I rubbed brown chalk ink over the surface of the tag enhancing the gear pattern. Next die cuts of the Gear Mesh Border and the Queen Anne's Lace Border were layered on the background. French Flair was die cut around the stamped quote and the matching scallop was adhered to the back. The pocket watch and a corner were adhered to the back of the matted quote and then added to the tag with some foam tape for dimension. Finally gears and a clock hand were added to the tag. The word Journey was cut in red and added to the upper embossed part of the tag.

Shooting Stars

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo Blog I share with you a quick and easy star necklace using the Star Charm Piccolos. The large charm in the set is actually a filigree and I piled on Emboss Enamel Powder until the holes of the filigree were filled in. I did this on a craft sheet so that my pendant could be easily peeled off at the end. I simply built up layers until I was happy with the depth of the enamel and the colors...mixing the 3 below until I had the exact shade that I wanted. The smaller charms were created by melting two layers of enamel and while they are still hot and molten pressing a star stamp into them! I love the effect of the stars on stars!

This article can be read HERE.

Hello Wishes

Happy Tuesday everyone !Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a sweet little friendship card to say "hello" to someone dear to you. I've used the new Dandelion set along wit the Vintage Bicycle. Queen Anne's Lace, Burlap Border and the Circle Lattice are layered behind the Blue Horizon Circle. Grass Border and Dandelions finish off this card with a Hello Sentiment.

TIP : Metallic creams add a bit of sparkle to elements of the die cut to give the illusion of metal on the Vintage Bicycle.

A card for Mom

Happy Sunday everyone!Today on the Globecraft and Piccolo Blog I share with you a card celebrating Mom on this Mother's Day!
I began by creating a background for my card. On a rectangular shaped piece of Mixed Media paper, I stamped a lacy background stamp with red chalk ink and heat embossed with Gilded Rose Gold. I then stamped a script stamp in a few places and again embossed with Gilded Rose Gold. I finished stamping on the background with a harlequin stamp with was also embossed with the Gilded Rose Gold. The edges were also embossed.
Next I created the Mom letters by stamping the script with Adhesive Fluid on the square frames and embossing with the Victorian Bronze. I then edged the frames with the adhesive fluid and heat embossed Victorian Bronze. Once cooled, I rubbed red chalk ink on the frame and dry buffed with a paper towel.
The diecut letters were heat embossed with Aged Pink and layered with Ruby Red Slippers. While still molten, they were stamped with the script stamp colored with red chalk ink. The letters were edged with black alcohol marker to accent the edges of the letters. The letters were attached to the frames with foam tape. A pink burlap string was tied to the front and the letter  frames were layered across the front!
