Kitty Loves a Birdie!

Happy Wednesday everyone! On the Globecraft and Piccolo Blog today I am  sharing with you this fun pin/pendant. With some strategic curls removed from the bottom corner swirl, this could also be used to hang my "readers" on! ha!

All pieces were enameled by smearing Enamel Powder Adhesive Fluid to the surface of the chipboard pieces and dusting with 1-2 coats of Enamel powder and then heat setting. The bird cage I used only one coat of powder...I like the antique feel the Victorian Bronze gives in one coat. The bezel was primarily Mermaid Tears and then a light sprinkle in one or two places with the Aged White created the lighter areas.
The pieces were assembled with Glastique and then the corners, kitty, birds and cage were coated with Glastique to give them an extra gloss. An extra coat of Glastique on the kitty gives him a more 3 dimensional look. A note about the bezel...I left the loop at the top because I wanted this piece to be flexible in how it can be worn. I will be adding a pin-back to the back of it so I can wear it with a sweater or scarf, but I might want to wear it as a pendant on a necklace so I am keeping the loop for extra support for the necklace.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by today!

Lucky Shamrock Card

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm getting ready for St. Patrick's Day over on the Cheery Lynn Blog. I created this festive square card by die cutting 4 each of the Two of Hearts dies and layering them to create petals on my four-leafed clover. Next I arranged them on a hex-shaped background--I placed my shapes using the frame as a gluing template. The flourish acts as a stem for my lucky four-leafed clover! I added some clear Wink of Stella to the top hearts for a bit of sparkle.

NEW RELEASE | A Lucky Pendant

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today on the Globecraft&Piccolo Blog I am sharing with you some of the FABULOUS new release Piccolos!!! I am so excited about my project today!!
I began by embossing St Patty's Day Accents by applying Enamel Powder Adhesive and dusting with Mossy Glen and Shamrock Dreams Emboss Enamel. The lighter color is the Shamrock Dreams color. Emboss the Vintage Corner Flourish with Victorian Bronze. The rectangle bezel is embossed with Aged White. I added multiple layers and laid 3size 8 beads into the melted enamel. Once cooled, I applied more enamel adhesive and Aged White powder to coat the beads. While the enamel is still hot, I sprinkled Victorian Bronze over the beads to repeat the color in the pendant.

Piccolos were adhered to the Bezel with Glastique and the edge of the Bezel was colored with an alcohol marker. Next I used Enamel Powder Adhesive to add Aged White powder to two metal washers. I heat set the washers and added more powder to build up a "donut" shape. Remember heated metal is H O T! be sure it is cooled completely before touching. The donuts were also edged in green alcohol ink. Burlap string was colored with the same alcohol ink to coordinate it to the pendant. The washers were tied on and a mini shamrock was adhered to the dangling washers with Glastique.

I used a piece of leather for the necklace, threading it through the eye of the bezel and the Victorian Corner Flourish

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by today!

Inspired Owl Card

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am sharing on the Cheery Lynn Blog today a card inspired by my creative daughter and teammates. Last week when Fancy and I were making Valentine boxes for her teachers, she looked at the Heartland America Large die and said, "I see an owl!" I asked her to show me what she saw. She indicated that the doilies in the top of the heart were eyes, the heart in the bottom the body and she indicated that a heart on the doily was his beak! So, this week I have transformed my Heartland America die cut into this cute owl! Also, I have also been enamored by my teammates' use of the cuties dies into foliage like pine branches!! I tried my hand at this this week, as well as transforming another cutie die into pine cones! This card also serves to remind you of our current challenge : Shaped Card!

Be My Blingy Valentine

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today on the Globecraft & Piccolo blog I share this quick and easy blingy necklace to accessorize your Valentine outfit with! What makes this pendant extra blingy is the Pure Sparkle Silver Glitter that I added to the elements

All chipboard was coated on the back with red chalk ink and heat set. Enamel Powder Adhesive was rubbed on the front and 2 layers of Real Rust enamel was added to the big heart pendant. The key was coated 1st with Real Rust and then with Micro Black...you can see some of the rust peaking through under the black. The final element, the small heart lock was coated with 2 layers of Real Rust.

After the pieces cooled, the glitter was added to the pendant and the small locket with glitter glue. The pieces of the pendant were added to the silver ball chain with rust colored jump rings.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by today!

Love the Tiny Flowers!

Happy Tuesday everyone! On the Cheery Lynn Blog today I am playing along with this week's challenge Add a Flourish! I have been creating a lot of projects lately with the Tiny Flower Kit and the Tiny Fanciful Flourishes! I love them! To create this filled letter look on any card is very easy.  I began by selecting a chunky font on my computer and printing out the letters for "love." With chalk I colored over the back of the letters to make it easy to transfer to my card stock. Next I positioned each letter and traced around them with a pencil, transferring the chalk from the back of my letters onto my card stock. I used a black marking pen to retrace my chalk lines and highlight the shape of the letters.
Next I glued down a flourish and stacked flowers starting with the largest and working my way to the itty bitty flowers in the Baby's Breath Flower Kit to fill in the tips. I added mini butterflies when I finished with the flowers!
