Five Years of Magic | Celebrating Roni's Anniversary

Art is the last form of magic that exists!

I am honored to be invited to celebrate my teammate and blog compadre's 5th Blogging Anniversary today!! A pioneer in collage and altered art,  Roni sent each of us a tin to alter in honor of this milestone. I know how much she loves steampunk and so I wanted to make her a steampunk commemorative keepsake for her time blogging at Ink Stains. I transformed my little tin into a mini album--Five Years of Magic!  The inside has a fold out album on old book paper...one side is collage stamped with a variety of steampunk images from Viva Las VegaStamps! and the reverse has the letters spelling out the word CELEBRATE! Congratulations Roni on this momentous occassion! Thank you for making me a part of your celebration! I hope you enjoy the art I made for you! celebrating Roni's Bloggiversary!!

Weekly Challenge | Red & Green

It's time for a new challenge with Digital Delights by Louby Loo! This week at Delightful Challenges our challenge is Red & Green. In case you missed it, moose and reindeer are probably one of my favorite all time images. I collect them and of course that spills over into my crafting. I know I have enough reindeer ornaments to do the entire 6' tree--but since I love variety on the tree the antlered friends are left to just dominate! When Wendy designed Molly Moose I squealed out loud! She is too cute and needed to be colored for some cards. For today's challenge I also incorporate her recent paper release Totally Tartan to complete my card! I hope you like my project! Thank you for looking!

Weekly Challenge | Thankful

It's time for a new challenge with Digital Delights by Louby Loo! This week at Delightful Challenges our challenge is Thankful. While in my part of the world we are getting ready for the fall feast of Thanksgiving and providing thankful blessings among friends and family, the rest of the world does not celebrate the beginning of America in during this time! I chose instead to offer up a card of thanks that could be used by many more of my friends at this time of year--a thank you card for a baby present, or a baby shower. With so many of my friends having babies this year, this Little Dumpling in a Pram card would be so sweet to give or receive  I hope you like my "thankful" card...and for my dear Senior DT Coordinator who will be asking, since she does every time I do something with a baby twist--No Lisa, I'm not expecting! hee hee! Thank you for looking!

Spruced Up Greetings with Viva Las VegaStamps!

Today on the Viva Las VegaStamps! Blog I share with you some beautiful new stamps for winter scene building and create some resist and background coloring techniques with them as well! The slick surface of the Kromecote card stock allows Distressed Inks to float on the surface of the card stock when it is spritzed, creating some fun texturey backgrounds!

Hop on over to the Viva Las VegaStamps! blog to see the full details and find out more product information!

Thank you for looking I hope you enjoyed my tips!

Be sure to stop by the blog next week too as the team celebrates the whole week with the new December Daily plate!

Alter Your Creativity Challenge 3 | Rusted

Good morning Altered Pages Fans!!! It's time for the 3rd Challenge from the sister challenge blog for AlteredPages.com. Today's challenge is to use the color Rust on your project. For this project I began layering Artists Spackle onto a piece of cardboard to get a general texture. Then with Maya Road Mist in Copper and a lovely green Smooch Spritz I began transforming my piece of cardboard into a rusted piece of metal! I added some metallic rubs and black Paris Trunk Ink to complete the rusted metal transformation. I added a beautiful digi from the Happy Thanksgiving Collage Sheet and a piece of melted Punchinella. I completed the piece with some stamped punched letters on a piece of "spritzed" card stock to further mimic the metal look! Thank you for looking! I hope you enjoyed my project.
