Nicolette's Mom's Day Blog Hop | Day 2

Welcome to Nicolette's Mom's Day Blog Hop! This is a two-day blog hop from Hostess Nicolette. You can start back at the top of the hop at Nicolette's blog Beyond Scrapin'. If you came from Cheryl's blog you are in the right place!

For today I worked with some papers and elements in the Hot Off The Press Spun Sugar Artful Card Kit (HOTP 7260) available through PaperWishes.com. This amazing card kit has 102 pieces including the beautiful papers, 66 matching diecuts ans 29 greetings. This is PERFECT for making pretty cards for your Mother. EVERYTHING you need is in the art kit except for a pair of scissors, adhesive, and some ink! I built both cards on 1 piece of 8½×11" card stock which made it extremely economical. Since the whole kit coordinates it makes it extremely easy to make beautiful cards every time. There are examples on the flier in the kit for cards as well as more ideas on their website! Great product!! I love how these two cards turned out! Thank you for looking!

Upcycled Craft Containers
Welcome to leslierahye's Earth Day Blog Hop 2♥12! This is the 1st blog hop that I've hosted that is entirely devoted to upcycled crafting. I feel that to protect our earth for generations to come it is important that we as crafters be able to renew, reuse and recycle--or upcycle as the crafty would say! Earth Day is today and my crafty friends and I are providing you with some inspiration! I LOVE upcycled crafting in all it's forms and this amazing group of 15 artists take my breath away with their creative crafting! I am truly honored to call them my co-hoppers!!! Be sure to take time to go to each blog, view their amazing projects and be inspired to create you own unique upcycled items--AND be sure to leave some love...there are chances to win prizes along the way!
I have created some fun craft containers for my many crafty tools! I am forever looking for inexpensive ways to containerize my craft items and find that I have many very unique items that are often difficult to find a home for. I love containerizing and found it both indulgent and fun to make some one of a kind upcycled containers for my crafting! I hope you enjoy them. These began as cans of soup and beans and a ½ gallon carton of milk and some packing material--look at them now! lovely!
Close up of my Milk Carton Adhesive Container--more can fit under the handle area!
Gratuitous shot of the other side of the carton!

On the 1st crafty gig in April I did an upcycled crafty show where my daughter and I showed the beginning of creating my fun storage supplies for my crafty tools!! I hope you enjoy the show, we certainly did! Included in the images above are the projects started on my show that day!

Paper-covered containers made on the show

A few details of Sam's can
I went with just tangling the top and bottom in the end!
I am giving away a box of goodies to start your own upcycled crafting! I have so much fun collecting things to create upcycled crafts and I am so excited to share with you some of my bounty! 1 flat-rate box LOADED with a crafter's dream of remnants, packing materials, groovy folders, brochures and some surfaces to put them on! Thank you for looking! I hope you enjoyed what you saw! Be sure to stop by all the links on the list below and see my co-hoppers amazing work!

Nicolette's Mother's Day Blog Hop | Day 1

Welcome to Nicolette's Mom's Day Blog Hop! This is a two-day blog hop from Hostess Nicolette. You can start back at the top of the hop at Nicolette's blog Beyond Scrapin'. If you came from Cheryl's blog you are in the right place!

For today I made a Hand Painted Hand Crafted Mini Book[2×2"]. Both the cover and the inside pages were hand painted using watercolor crayons. The flowers on the front were also hand painted using matching colors. The ribbon serves as a closure for the album. This album is left blank to serve as a decorative gift for my mother...she could use this little book to tuck away passwords or meditations or any personal notes for safe keeping. The petite size of this mini makes it perfect for such secret actions. Thank you for looking! I hope you enjoy my project.

The next stop on the hop is Robin's blog! Hop on over and check out her project!
