Weekly Challenge | Dog Days of Summer (summer or summer heat) & pyramage

It's challenge time at Delightful Challenges and this week we want to see Dog Days of Summer (summer or summer heat) !!

I'm in Texas where this spring we started off with weather that could rival a normal Texas August--in other words it was H O T!! We've had temperatures above 100° F for more days than I care to count and the end does not appear in site for a while! I had been trying last week to beat the heat by thinking about the holiday season and crafting for then but truth be told, it's not helping! So today I chose to share with you this little bug card. It reads: "Keep your cool! Don't be buggin! Summer's buzzin' by!"
I hope you enjoy my card--and the pyramage one below as well! Thank you for stopping by!

Digital Delights Stamps:  LilBug Set, Wood Post, Sun
cardstock: Bazzill Basics
markers: BIC Mark-it's
technique: GIMP2 scene building

You do not have to use a Digital Delights image to play but if you do you will receive two entries. Just add your card twice to inlinkz to enter twice you need to when you use a Digital Delights image 1st entry use your card link, 2nd entry use your blog address and add 2nd entry after your name We have a wonderful sponsor this week

This little cutie is part of Wendy's quick-growing collection of pyramage sheets. These sheets come with the elements PRE-colored and you cut them out and stack them to create a unique dimensional card--each sheet comes with a few extra embellishments to finish off the card. This makes a super easy, super fast card to sending to friends and family! I hope you enjoy it!. Lara Ladybug Pyramage sheet can be found here!

leslierahye's crafty handmade holiday challenge | July

Can you believe that it is just FIVE short months to Christmas--yes, I said FIVE. I am amazed how fast time seems to move as an adult--I recall it being much S L O W E R as a child! It seemed like it would take FOREVER for my birthday to come, or for Halloween, or for the holidays; and now, they are here before we know it. Funny how that is.
Last year, I chose to have a handmade holiday for my family--partially financially induced, but partially because I wanted to give them T I M E. With the handmade holiday, I made all the presents for my family by hand...crocheted, sewed, crafted, cooked...everything friends and family got from me was made by me! It was a financial relief for me. It gave me an incredible sense of accomplishment and pride in knowing that I created for my family and friends. But it was more than that...my friends and family truly appreciated their gifts from me--they understood that I made time for them. It is with that feeling that I bring you this challenge. Join me in a making for your family and friends a crafty handmade holiday!

The Rules
1. make an item [or 2 or 3] that is a gift for someone you give to during the holiday season. You can make as many gifts each month as you wish as long as they are unique.
2. post an image of it somewhere that is linkable to this blog--if you have a blog, post it there. If you don't have a blog, you can post to your facebook, to your online photo account, anywhere you can share electronically with us.
3. add you information to the INLINKZ at the bottom of this post: name, link to the project, email. This inlinkz is name link only..that way in order for folks to see your wonderful project they will have to click on over to it--creating blog traffic for those of us with blogs.
4. The deadline is the 24th of each month giving us 5 months to create and share!

If you choose you can add the challenge button to your blog!

A Holiday Challenge Announcement and an AJ's Digi Shoppe Holiday Card!

As many of my friends know, I start thinking about the holidays in July and August. I have an annual tradition of getting prepared for my families holidays by working through The Holiday Grand Plan over at OrganizedHome.com. Each year I've included more and more handmade items in my gift giving list. Last year I was pleased to say that all gifts from me were handmade. This year I am challenging all of you to do likewise! We're going to have a challenge starting the 25th of July!! On the 25th of each month through November, I am going to post the monthly blog post where you can link up and share the handmade gift items that you are making for family and friends. You may enter as many times as you like for the month as long as each link is a different gift item. Full rules will be listed on the post on the 25th along with a badge to put on your blogs!

Since we're thinking about the holidays....I want to share with you this fun holiday card I made using an AJ's Digi Shoppe design from the My Little Brother collection! Hop on over to AJ's Digi Shoppe Blog to check out my card and how to make it! Thank you for looking! I hope you enjoyed the card!

Weekly Challenge | Fancy Folded Cards

This week on Delightful Challenges, we are making cards with FANCY FOLDS!!!

Occasionally I like to make a non-traditional fold card...I have made this card numerous times before and know it simply as the Z-fold flip card. the way it works is you have a message on one side of your card that can be seen with the "frame" of the other side of the card...when you pull the sides of the frame out, the message flips around and the image on the other side is revealed! This format is very fun for cards of all occasions including invitations/announcements!

I used the images that were part of last months Friday Freebies Series--you may now purchase them in the store

Digital Stamps: Mr. Gnome, Toadstools, Sending Love Sentiment
Cardstock/Paper: Summer Time Fun Digital Pack, Bazzill Basics
Markers: BIC Mark-Its
Accessories: Foam squares, heart punch

This weeks challenge is FANCY FOLDS

You do not have to use a Digital Delights image to play but if you do you will receive two entries. Just add your card twice to inlinkz to enter twice you need to when you use a Digital Delights image 1st entry use your card link, 2nd entry use your blog address and add 2nd entry after your name.

Festive Friday #13 | Blingy Snow Friends

It's time for the Festive Friday Blog Hop hosted by Terri Sproul again. This bi-monthly blog hop features Holiday cards from many talented card crafters as we get our Christmas cards ready early this year.

If you reached this stop from Becky's blog BC Designs , then you are in the right spot! If you would like to start from the beginning, you can return to Terri's blog.

For this card I used several of my favorite elements, stamps, markers, ink, and BLING. The background cardstock was stamped with Stampin up snowflakes in White Craft Stampin Up ink. The Snow friend was stamped Ranger Archival Ink and colored with Stampin Up Stamp and Write Markers. The circle was edged with Tumbled Glass Distres ink and the sky was stippled with the same. The Snow friends sentiment was colored with Stamp and Write Markers as well. The Snow Friends Sentiment and image was a Close to my Heart Set. The bling was a pre-made swirl that is super easy to apply. The snowflakes and ground on the circle were highlighted with prismaglitter applied with quickie glue pen!

I hope you enjoyed my card! Thank you for stopping by!

The next stop on the hop is Laura Fisher's blog. If you get lost on the way, the entire list is on the right hand side of the blog under Festive Friday Blog Hop!
